Covid-19 cases in Arizona are growing and total over 5200 infections and 208 known deaths according the the Arizona Department of Health Services.
The state updated its COVID-19 data package this week to show case and death rates per 100,000 residents at state and county levels. The new dashboard also provides more detailed hospitalization data and more information on the percentage of people with the virus who have chronic medical conditions or who fall into high-risk populations. Information on cases by ZIP code is now downloadable.

More then half of these cases are in Maricopa County according to state numbers.
The total number of cases is likely higher then reported due to a lack of testing kits available and restrictions that are in place to prevent people from being tested.
According to the University of Washington’s model, the peak hospital use was April 10th in Arizona, meaning the worst might be over for now.
